Melanoma, or skin cancer, is one of the most common kinds of cancer that many people don’t think to get tested or treated for. It is a silent killer because every person participates daily in the risk factors associated, which is being exposed to the sun. New advances are being made in being able to identify and better treat melanoma.
An international team of scientists has mapped out the genetic trajectories taken by melanoma as it evolves from early skin lesions, known as precursors, to malignant skin cancer.
